Homework
Homework problem solutions should be placed in the box labelled "SCM" in the laboratory by:
Homework 1: Friday 15th October
Homework 2: Friday 22nd October
Homework 3: Friday 29th October
Homework 4: Friday 5th November
No late work will be accepted.
Lab reports
As soon as you have completed a laboratory exercise you should put your laboratory report worksheet in the box provided in the laboratory. It will be marked and returned to you. You may only start the next exercise once you have handed in the previous one. This means that "short" experiments must be handed in by the time of your laboratory session the following week.
You should have finished exercises 1 to 4 by Friday 22nd October. They must be finished and handed in by Friday 12th November or you will be deregistered from the course.
Your two formal laboratory reports (one on exercise 5, the other on one of exercises 8 to 12) should be handed in to a laboratory technician and a receipt obtained. The first report should be handed in by Friday 12th November and the second by Friday 17th December. You will lose marks if reports are handed in late. You will be deregistered from the course if the first report is not handed in by Friday 26th November or the second report by Friday 14th January.
In order to pass the course, students must complete and hand in ALL exercises and reports.
