DAQ -1 Tutorial

• The DAQ group are holding a tutorial on the BackEnd DAQ software on Wed-Thur 13-14 April. This will involve lectures and hands on exercises.
• It is seen as starting point for subdetector development towards Testbeam and ROD crate DAQ.
• Learning about this stuff is useful now (or soon) and also good level 1 representation will keep the pressure up for a DAQ system we could use.
• NB there will also be a discussion meeting at CERN on Mon-Tues 11-12 April to discuss moving offline trigger software to OO.

Technical Proposal

• The DAQ, DCS and higher level trigger technical proposal is now in its second draft and due for submission by the end of March.
• The Detector Interface Group chapter concerns us (eg our requirements for ROD crate DAQ etc). Should be looked at before the deadline...
