ATLAS Testbeam 2004

This page has some links to (hopefully) useful information related to L1Calo activities in the 2004 testbeam run.

Run information

• List of combined (and standalone?) runs: this is still a bit sketchy. More information to fill the remaining holes and information about additional combined runs and anything about standalone runs is very welcome. Even more welcome would be a volunteer to maintain this page!

Bytestream decoding and testbeam analysis

• Quick summary of testbeam bytestream decoding infrastructure
• Instructions to run testbeam reconstruction in ATHENA and access data files (from Jürgen)
• Script to copy (and automatically edit) updated versions of L1Calo "Raw Data Objects" from the online bytestreamDecoder package into the offline TrigT1Rresult package.

Email archive:

• Script to run histotest on lxplus
• First status report on bytestream decoding work-in-progress (historical interest only)
• Long exposition of how we should (perhaps?) do it properly

Database files

Some of the key online database files used for two sets of runs at the testbeam were committed and tagged in the dbFiles package. Files for runs 2101663-9 were tagged as dbFiles-00-01-12 and those for run 2101816 were tagged as dbFiles-00-01-13.

The following links point directly to the relevant versions of the files in the CVS repository. Note that some files are the same for both sets of runs. Of course it may be more useful to have a text summary of the significant information in each file rather than the raw XML. That may come later if (strongly) requested or if there is a volunteer!

NB it appears there were some errors in the actual cabling compared to the intended configuration in the database.
