PPRC Detector Development Group Lectures

The Detector Development Group at QMUL focused on the development of technology and instruments for radiation detection. This work ranges from the invention of new technologies, working with industry to solve its radiaiton environment and detection challenges through to the design, prototyping, construction and operation of large scientific instruments for world leading laboratories such as CERN. The lectures provided can be found below, the timetable changes from year to year, but the lectures start at 2pm on Wednesday afternoons at the beginning of the academic year. Please check your e-mail for connection details (including zoom link), and any local room assignments.

These lectures provide an overview of core topics that all PPRC students are expected to follow (denoted by * below), as well as specialist topics that all students working on a hardware development thesis are expected to follow. The lectures are open to all staff and students, including any undergraduates who are working on relevant topics and who may benefit from additional background information for their studies (e.g. final year project students or MSc students).
