Racks, Crates and Cables

Racks and crates

• Do we want a separate rack each side for patch panels?
• Needs a decision on whether we use patch panels or ``octopus cables''
• Deflectors for cooled air will be riveted in: we need to decide on exact crate locations within racks soon!

Cables

• No work on cabling document since the summer (due last April!)
• Bill Cleland offered (last November) to update our spreadsheets with his corrections - so far we have received nothing back
• Chris Parkmans wants details of cables within USA15 for his database - book space in cable trays
• Do we have enough short cables within USA15 (for patch panels and/or octopi)?
