Software Status (2)

Investigated Available Software

• Many ``Back End'' DAQ -1 components have now been tried successfully
• Useful interaction with members of the CERN DAQ group
• Heidelberg software installed - some problems getting it going
• Successful use of ROOT (distributed OO histogramming package)

Linux Platforms

• Aim for Linux systems at QMW (exists), RAL (imminent), Bham (soon?)
• VME access via network initially
• Other options still open

Work on TTCvi

• TTCvi incorporated into existing diagnostic software
• Not yet tried with Heidelberg software
• High level design of TTCvi classes under discussion
