All there for some time now (except update

All code has now been written and is being tested
- daqctl: menus set run parameters OK
- daqprod: runs properly and generates events on interrupt;
minor bug to be fixed
- event dump: event format looks sensible
- daqana: histogramming still to be tested
- Tested on VIC with 1/3 of DSS memory

- Chris Bee asked which OS and compilers we are using now
and which we intend to use in the next 18 months
- Response drafted with input from most groups
- Little commonality between all six groups
- Linux seems the most likely future platform
- Provokes strong reactions, esp in connection with...

Software: Other Matters
Calibration: We are gathering information (and more questions)
on how we will carry out the various calibration tasks.
Tools: We have been using CVS (a bit). We are looking at
software CASE tools (StP).
Readout issues: Various smaller discussions on CPM readout.
Schemes proposed and discarded. Progress on the ROD end too.
Future DAQ: Starting to think about future DAQ systems and
how to evolve towards using ATLAS DAQ software - eg for ROD tests?
Future Diagnostics: Still needs to be discussed... (Mainz
are using the HD software for JEM-2 tests).
