DAQ Workplan: Introduction

Timescale:
need something for ROD - 6 months
prototype of final DAQ - 18 months

Minimal configuration for ROD tests:
n * DSS
n * ROD
TCM or TTCvi
VICs?
possibly other phase II modules?

DAQ Evolution: Use of Atlas DAQ-1

Try moving existing DAQ code to Linux
- NB only draft real time Posix code?

VME Access: PCI-VME interface (or net+Lynx)

Try replacing EMU with MRS/IS

Design database:
- configuration: crates, modules
- parameters: run type, modules, etc

Implement & populate database with OKS

Provide GUI to dynamically control DB...

Run Control (RC) skeleton for daqprod etc

Provide C++ objects for ROD, DSS, TTCvi...

Use these to write new daqprod

Same event format $\Rightarrow$ still use daqana?
