The only settlement we stopped at was the small, isolated
village of Puerto Edén. Normally the ship docks and
passengers can go ashore, but the port was blocked by a Chilean
Navy vessel so people from Puerto Edén
(for whom the ferry is the easiest way to get to a
larger town, e.g. for medical services) had to come out in small boats
