Software phone meeting on 27 April 2006Present: Bruce, Dave, Eric, Florian, Frederik, Gilles, Kambiz, Murrough, Paolo, Steve. Status reportsBirminghamGilles had nothing to report. It was mentioned that the new presenter (OHP) is available as a patch for the existing tdaq-01-04-01. HeidelbergFlorian has started implementing his run plan handling software and expects to produce a document when he finishes it. He has tried running the system with ROD Crate DAQ but sees synchronisation errors in the multistep run. There was a question about how to set the eta,phi correctly for data from one PPM - ie the requirement for a mapping service. Both Steve and Victor have something already. MainzNo report. QMULPaolo has started adding plots to the gnamL1CaloHisto package based on ideas from the old protoAnalysis package. RALNo report. StockholmNo report. CERNWhile in the UK, Murrough tried ROD Crate DAQ at RAL and found some problems. In particular one CPU has too little memory to run RCD. Murrough would like to make the necessary updates to our packages (mainly moduleServices) to build with the next TDAQ release and gcc344 compiler. Bruce and Kambiz have extended the cable test scripts to start Victors monitoring program. Having experienced a slow rebuild of l1calo software for installation in USA15, Bruce asked if ATLAS had a farm of machines for software builds. According to Steve there is a working group on software builds who could be asked about this. CommissioningKambiz has sent detailed reports of recent activities. The hope is we will get LAr signals on Friday. Meanwhile how are we going to organise signal tests for the whole TileCal barrel? Next meetingsThe next phone meeting will be on Thursday 11 May at 11:00 CET (10:00 GMT). Last updated on 19-May-2006 by Murrough Landon |
